A few words about who I am
Kuntala and David were married to each other and formed a team together to examine some of the social issues surrounding energy and coal mining in South Asia, including informal and illegal mining.
Kuntala’s father, Professor-Dr-Harasankar-Bhattacharyya, was a prominent Communist leader in West Bengal and a renowned Marxist economist. Two of his books are:
Kuntala’s mother, Ms Jamuna Bhattacharyya was the headmistress of a renowned girls’ school. A memoir she wrote in Bangla can be found here.
